Stocks fell last week as worries over the cooling economy continued. Indications of slowing residential growth led to fears of a ripple effect across other sectors. Falling oil prices on Friday, however, mitigated losses. The Dow closed down 0.6 percent at 11,392.11, a drop of 69.22 points. The Nasdaq also fell 1.3 percent to 2,165.79, down 27.94 points. Ad stocks were mixed. Omnicom closed at 90.97, a 2 percent gain. Interpublic Group also gained 2 percent to close at 9.49.
