CHICAGO Leo Burnett has hired Mary Cheney as vice president, senior producer at the agency.
Cheney, formerly the head of broadcast production at Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York, will report to the Chicago agency's director of production, Jonathan Davis.
"Mary has a wealth of experience working with some of the best directors in the industry and is a master at the art of high-quality production," Davis said in a statement. "I value her fresh perspective in further re-shaping production at Burnett and consider her one of the department's future leaders."
At BBH, Cheney produced spots for clients such as Levi's, Axe, Lipton Sizzle & Stir and Noggin TV. Prior to joining the shop in 2000, she was a freelance producer. Cheney has a master's degree in fine arts from the University of Southern California.
