NEW YORK — Carmichael Lynch employees jumped up and down and cheered raucously when their Harley Davidson motorcycle campaign rode away with the $100,000 Grand Prize at the 21st annual Kelly Awards here on Tuesday. The awards, sponsored by the Magazine Publishers of America, honor creativity and effectiveness in magazine ads.

The enthusiasm reflected a long road to the winner’s circle: In its 23 years as Harley’s agency, the Minneapolis shop’s campaigns for the company have been Kelly finalists 13 times.
