Veteran West Coast media executive Hal Carlson joined Ground Zero as media director. He moved to the highly respected creative shop from outdoor ad firm OSI.
Carlson, 40, replaced Chuck Labiner, who left the Marina del Rey, Calif., agency earlier this year to become director of offline advertising at CarsDirect.com.
Carlson has spent almost his entire career in the media departments of agencies with solid creative reputations. He has worked at Fallon, The Martin Agency and Wieden + Kennedy, running media planning at the latter’s former Philadelphia office and working on the Nike brand at its Portland, Ore.,
