Jacobson Rost plans a third-quarter national campaign for Carl Buddig & Co., whose account it picked up following a review, an executive with the agency said.
The Sheboygan, Wis., shop was familiar with the Homewood, Ill., meat marketer through projects it had done for Buddig's Old Wisconsin sausages, said agency president Jerry Flemma.
Flemma said the budget has not been finalized. But with a national campaign planned, it is expected to exceed past spending, which has been minimal. According to CMR, Buddig had no ad expenditures from 1998 through 2001, except for 2000, when $300,000 was spent.
Tom Padula, director of marketing for the Buddig and Old Wisconsin brands, could not be reached at press time.
