DETROIT – American Greetings is in the midst of a review for its Web site, americangreetings.com, the company’s marketing director, Bill VanCleave, confirmed last week.
The review is being handled by a consultant VanCleave declined to name. The budget for the venture, a spin-off of the Cleveland-based greeting card company, was not disclosed.
The company recently selected Alexander Ogilvy, San Francisco, to handle public relations for the site.
Lead agency for American Greetings is Doner, Southfield, Mich.
Van Cleave said the company is in the “early stages” of the dot-com review and has had preliminary discussions with agencies he declined to name.
