Carat Freeman has promoted Jane Deery to executive vice president and managing director.
"Jane combines superb media skills with business skills," said Don Byrnes, president of Carat Freeman. "She understands the clients' businesses and the markets they're in, and [she] puts together intelligent media plans."
In her new position, Deery will manage the company's Newton, Mass., office, which includes 65 staffers. She will also manage the work that is done for the company's 52 accounts, which represent about $350 million in business, Byrnes said. Deery replaces Sarah Fay, who was promoted to president of Carat Interactive. Deery previously served as a senior vice president, group media director.
