Capital Group Increases Its Stake in IPG

NEW YORK Capital Group International, the largest shareholder of Interpublic Group, has increased its stake to 8 percent, or roughly 31.2 million shares, according to an Oct. 17 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The filing covers a multiple-month period that ended Oct. 9 and appears to account for at least part of the surge in IPG trading volume this year.

The document does not, however, include the heavy trading recorded last week, which saw the stock’s volume exceed 7.9
