Candy, Toy Stores Assign Media to SpaceTime

CHICAGO Media shop SpaceTime said it has added two new clients, thanks to the companies' relationship with their creative agency, Ambrosi.

SpaceTime, based in Chicago, will handle media planning and buying for the relaunch of Fannie May candy stores in Chicago. The company, which was purchased by Salt Lake City's Alpine Confections earlier this year, tapped Ambrosi in Chicago to handle creative advertising in September.

Separately, SpaceTime will also handle media for FAO Schwarz as it looks to relaunch retail locations in New York and Las Vegas. Company parent FAO Inc. sold its New York and Las Vegas toy stores and other properties to VGACS Acquisition last year for $20 million.

Billings for both clients were not disclosed. It was unknown if the companies held reviews for their accounts.

Former J. Walter Thompson senior vice president Robin Lampert founded SpaceTime in 1994.
