Peter A. Mayer Advertising’s latest promotion for the Louisiana Office of Tourism rides on wheels, guzzles gas and has a 10-city itinerary.
The New Orleans agency developed a version of a rolling billboard for the client to mark the state’s tricentennial next year.
The colorful “Louisiana Birthday Bus” arrived at the Chicago Music Festival last week loaded with a bright red, human-sized crawfish, a Cajun chef, musicians and dancers.
“We thought it was a good way to offer a virtual slice of Louisiana with food, music and history at each stop,” Mayer creative director Dee Smith said.
The bus will visit 10 cities–including Atlanta, Detroit, New York, Washington, D.C.,
