LOS ANGELES In the wake of what the firm called a “dramatic turnaround” in its West Coast operations, WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather has promoted two locally based staff members to co-managing directors of its Culver City, Calif., office.

Dan Burrier, 45, chief creative officer, and Heather MacPherson, 43, worldwide managing director of client services on the Cisco Systems account, assumed joint leadership responsibilities earlier this month.

“We have a big opportunity to grow this office,” said Burrier, whose efforts with exiting West Coast president Rick Roth more than doubled the agency’s size since 2002.
