CHICAGO Burrell Communications CEO and founder Tom Burrell is turning the firm over to a team of three managing partners as part of a sweeping management change at the African American specialty shop, the agency said on Wednesday.

Burrell, 65, will assume the title chairman emeritus and assist in the leadership transition. Running the shop, 49 percent of which is owned by the Publicis Groupe, will be newly named managing partners Fay Ferguson, McGhee Williams and Steve Conner.
