Having been to the “mountain top” for U.S. agency creative directors, Pat Burnham now is setting out in a new career path-as a commercial director. Two months after having been sacked as creative chief of Fallon McElligott, Burnham announced last week that he was joining Minneapolis production house Wilson Griak as a director. “I feel very good about it,” Burnham said. “My first shoot was shooting Joe Pytka for the opening of my reel. If I’m comfortable shooting him, Ithink I’ll be okay.”
Burnham, who came to be identified at Fallon with what he calls “Gonzo Advertising,” has been filming testimonials from several directors he’s worked with in the past for his reel, which will be done next week.
