NEW YORK Washington Mutual has added Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett to replace Interpublic Group’s Deutsch/LA in the final round of the review for its estimated $100 million account, according to sources.

The client had initially selected Deutsch as a finalist, but the shop withdrew, citing a heavy workload, sources said. The other finalists are Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day in San Francisco and independent agency Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago, according to sources.

A Deutsch representative declined comment late Wednesday.

Washington Mutual is meeting with the shops later this week.
