CHICAGO Looking to create more efficient advertising, Leo Burnett here has expanded its video services department, allowing for increased in-house editing and production.

The unit, previously called Leo Video and now renamed The Core, has five Avid editing suites and will hold an archive of 20,000 television spots. R.J. Porzel, Burnett’s director of creative editorial, will oversee all of the unit’s editorial operations.

“The Core is a cost-efficient tool that will aid in achieving our creative goals,” said Jonathan Davis, Burnett’s director of broadcast production, in a statement.
