CHICAGO Publicis Groupe’s Fallon said it has promoted 15-year agency veteran Rob Buchner to chief marketing officer, a job left vacant in May when Mark Goldstein left for a global marketing post with Interpublic Group’s Lowe.

Buchner, 41, was previously a managing partner at the Minneapolis agency, in charge of interactive and marketing services units. He also oversaw the shop’s branded entertainment efforts. He previously worked on brand strategy for several Fallon clients and also played a role in Fallon’s expansion into overseas markets.
