SAN FRANCISCO Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners has hired two creatives to work on tech assignments for clients such as Apple Computer and Siebel Systems, the agency said.
Art director Tyler Warrender, 31, and copywriter Fred Abercrombie, 29, join independent BSSP in Sausalito, Calif., from San Francisco's MRM Partners. They also worked together at Publicis Dialog, and both graduated from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
The two report to BSSP co-creative director John Butler, Warrender said.
Through its SF Interactive marketing and media services unit, BSSP has been adding direct and online assignments for new and existing clients, said an agency representative. Both Warrender and Abercrombie will work across media channels in developing campaigns.
"Tyler and Fred are a highly awarded creative team that understands the creative challenges and opportunities of working in the technology sector," Butler said. "They are a great addition to our cross-marketing talent base."
Warrender began his advertising career at San Francisco-based Jimmy Inc., before joining Publicis Dialog and then MRM. Abercrombie started at the Corsi Agency in San Francisco and then moved to Publicis Dialog and MRM.
