Brewer Tests Short Film

CHICAGO Anheuser-Busch will show an eight-minute film from DDB Chicago on VH-1 this Saturday night, a representative for the brewer said.

The film, called Best Man, has been quietly finding its way on air this month. The short has already been shown twice on FX and once on Comedy Central, the representative confirmed.

The St. Louis brewer's film was first set to appear on a new digital TV cable network called Brief Original Broadcasts [Adweek, Sept. 2, 2002], which debuts next month. A-B, however, decided to run the film on a new Web site, Triggerstreet.com, which features short films from across the country.

In the short, a man makes a series of blunders throughout an entire wedding reception as guests drink Budweiser. For example, his toast to the newlyweds reveals everyone the groom has slept with over the years.
