ATLANTA Stan Harris, a 35-year advertising and marketing veteran, has joined Bravo Foods as its first chief marketing officer, the company said.

Harris, 58, had been operating Harris Ideas, an independent shop in Plantation, Fla., for the past three years. Bravo Foods was the shop's first and largest client. Harris said he closed the shop when he joined Bravo.

Harris is responsible for all the company's marketing, advertising, brand management and packaging design. He reports to the company's CEO, Roy Warren.

The Ransom Group, an independent agency in Memphis, Tenn., currently provides the company's advertising and packaging designs. Harris said he had no plans to sever the relationship.

Harris began his career in retail advertising at J.C. Penney, where he was the youngest creative supervisor in the company's history. He left to join the New York shop that became Saatchi & Saatchi and worked on accounts including General Mills and Procter & Gamble. He started Harris Drury Cohen in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and assembled a client list that included Celebrity Cruises, Wyndham Resorts, Sea Doo Personal Watercraft and Raymond James Financial Services.

He sold HDC in 2003 and opened Harris Ideas with clients including Bravo Foods, Turnberry Associates' hospitality division, Pride Family Brands of outdoor furniture and Black Book Online.

"We are truly fortunate to have had Stan working with us on the development and launch of many of our products and our success to date is in part due to his creative approach to reaching our core consumers," Warren said.

Bravo, based in North Palm Beach, Fla., develops, brands, sells and distributes flavored-milk products nationwide and internationally.
