With misty eyes and a few margaritas, staffers at Robaire and Hogshead last week digested the news that the agency’s two principals are moving on.

The 10-person creative boutique in Venice, Calif., formed in March 1998 by Sally Hogshead and Jean Robaire, is folding due to a clash between the two over long-term business goals. While they took pains to stress there were no creative differences or acrimony involved, they took the unusual step of issuing a release outlining their specific differences.
