Longtime New England creative Vashti Brotherhood has shifted to public relations, joining Warner Communications as senior writer and account manager.

Brotherhood, 44, said she made the move to the Manchester, Mass., independent shop for personal reasons.

“I’m looking forward to learning a new writing skill, which is important from a professional standpoint, as well as a personal one,” said Brotherhood. “I feel as though I’m walking in my father’s shoes.”

John Brotherhood, who died in September, was a longtime New England PR executive who founded Lowengard & Brotherhood in Hartford, Conn.

Most recently, Vashti Brotherhood was creative director at independent shop EMI Strategic Marketing in Boston.
