After months of consideration, Boeing will in the next month put its estimated $30 million global advertising account into review, officials at the world’s largest aerospace company confirmed last week.
“As far as an agency review, we are still planning to move forward,” said Clark McCann, director of advertising at the Seattle company. “It will be another three to four weeks before we commence.”
McCann said incumbent Cole & Weber, Seattle, will be invited to defend the business.
C&W executives said they are adamant about keeping the business.
“We will defend it with all our strength and vigor,” said C&W vice president and executive creative director Ron Klein, who added the shop may call on the resources of parent company Ogilvy & Mather, which handles the client overseas.
