Boede + Partners Joins McCann Network

NEW YORK Boede + Partners, which produces integrated business-to-business communications for several high-tech companies, has been acquired by McCann WorldGroup, the latter agency said. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Located in Salt Lake City, B+P, with $10 million in revenue and 80 staffers, will now be known as McCann Erickson.

The 4-year-old shop's client list includes Microsoft, also a McCann WorldGroup client, Unisys, Nokia, ClearOne and VeriSign.

McCann Erickson North America regional director Eric Keshin, who is based in the New York headquarters, said in a statement, "Among the reasons that Boede + Partners has become one of the fastest-growing technology agencies in the country is the quality of their channel marketing strategies and their superb delivery of integrated interactive technology messaging. Having spent much of my career on b-to-b and technology, I am enormously impressed with their knowledge, experience and capabilities. They will work closely with McCann's San Francisco agency to ensure communications excellence for our technology clients across all platforms and audiences, as well as with MRM Partners on the Microsoft business."

Dave Boede, founder and president of B+P, will continue as president of McCann in Salt Lake City, reporting to Keshin.

In a statement, Boede said, "Our dramatic growth over the past four years has been built not only on our team's in-depth understanding of the technology mind-set, but also on our business-building approach to marketing."

McCann Erickson is the advertising agency of McCann WorldGroup, owned by Interpublic Group. WorldGroup is also comprised of companies such as Universal McCann, Momentum, MRM Partners, Weber Shandwick and FutureBrand.
