Bob Cauley’s wild ride through the ad industry took another unexpected turn last week when he left Hawley Cauley Sandler here to pursue personal and professional opportunities in New York.
Renamed Hawley/Sandler, the 10-person shop will be operated by chairman and creative director Shervin Hawley and president Rick Sandler, who are now equal partners.
Hawley, Cauley and Sandler had been working through ownership issues when, several weeks ago, Cauley decided to move to New York, mainly to be with his longtime companion, who is enrolled at Columbia University Law School, Cauley said.
“It’s a completely personal decision,” Cauley said.
