CHICAGO The Pittsburgh Pirates have tapped hometown shop Blattner Brunner as its lead advertising agency for the 2004 Major League Baseball season.

The shop won the account following a review involving six area agencies. Billings were undisclosed.

“Blattner Brunner brings tremendous insight to not just advertising, but to an overall integrated marketing communications mix,” said Pirates vice president of marketing and sales Mike Berry in a statement.

MARC in Pittsburgh was the National League ball club’s previous agency.
