Blackboard has appointed David Sample senior vice president of sales. Prior to joining the Washington, D.C.-based company, Sample was executive vice president for global sales at Princeton Softech. Todd Gibby has been promoted to executive vice president of operations. Before leading the company’s sales team, Gibby was general manager for Blackboard’s Learning System and Community System product lines. Juan Lucca and Gordon Freedman have been added as vice president of international market development and vice president of education strategy, respectively.
