It’s nothing new to see a flock of pigeons parking it for a few minutes on an outdoor board, but a handful of signs were recently erected in the North Carolina communities of High Point and Greensboro with 27 birds already attached.
The billboard concept was created by Howard, Merrell & Partners in Raleigh, N.C., for client Auto Allies, a car-buying service. The larger-than-life faux fowl sit atop the advertisement with the claim that “only these guys find a car faster.”
“Putting our pigeons on top of the board seemed like a natural thing to do since that is where you’re normally going to see birds like these,” said agency art director Scott Ballew.
