CHICAGO BBDO here said it will not defend in the review for the Illinois Department of Economic Opportunity’s $12 million tourism account.

“After much deliberation, we have determined that our agency resources could be better utilized servicing other areas of our business, rather than pursuing this assignment,” said agency president Tonise Paul in a statement. She said the agency would look to land another travel or tourism account within a year.

The shop has handled the account since January 2000, and its work carried the tagline, “Right here.
