BOSTON Thomas' English Muffins has tapped BBDO and The Integer Group to craft print and point-of-sale efforts, respectively, said sources.
The Omnicom Group shops overcame Interpublic Group's Avrett Free Ginsberg, WPP Group's Klamath Communications and independent Seiter & Miller Advertising in a review.
Upcoming work from the pair of agencies will drive awareness of Thomas' line of Hearty Grains muffins, according to the client. Integer Group's Dallas office will lead the account, with BBDO in New York working on print duties.
Billings are undisclosed. Last year ad spending on the brand was about $5 million; expenditures through May 2004 were less than $200,000, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Thomas' parent is George Weston Bakeries in Totowa, N.J.
