DALLAS — BBDO will close its Houston office next month, the agency said.

“BBDO Houston was opened in 1997 to service our Texaco account,” Andrew Robertson, president and ceo of BBDO North America, said in a statement. “However, following last year’s acquisition of Texaco by Chevron, the retail brands and Havoline motor oil businesses were transferred to other agencies. Our people have worked very hard to replace it, but we have decided that it is no longer viable to keep the office open.”
