BBDO Chicago continued to benefit from existing clients’ additional assignments with the shift of an estimated $20-30 million worth of Bayer work to the shop from Euro RSCG Tatham here.

The shop will pick up work on Bayer’s One-A-Day, Flintstones and Bugs Bunny vitamins, as well as Midol pain reliever. BBDO New York will pick up advertising duties for Bactine. Ad spending on that brand has been minimal.

While sources estimated spending on the brands at anywhere from $20- to 30-million, Bayer spent $35 million on One-A-Day alone and a total of $50 million on all of the brands in 1999, according to Competitive Media Reporting.
