CHICAGO McCann Erickson group creative director Dean Bastian is moving to the shop’s Detroit office as director of creative development, a new position.

The move comes amid questions surrounding the office’s core client, General Motors, handled by McCann. Earlier this week, General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner said he would take over marketing duties previously handled by vice chairman Bob Lutz and group vice president Gary Cowger. The company announced in mid-March that it would post an $850 million loss for the first quarter.
