ATLANTA Peter Baron, a 20-year public relations veteran, has opened a new shop in Atlanta, specializing in helping new technology companies connect with media, analysts, venture capitalists and customers.
The shop, called Carabiner Communications, opens with a staff of 6 and plans to add at least two more employees. Its client list includes technology companies Encapsulon, FileVision, Prenova, Tall Maple Systems, Think2020 and Zvolve.
Baron previously founded SocketPR, an Atlanta shop that was acquired by WPP Group’s Hill & Knowlton in 2001 and now is part of Blanc & Otis.
