To be honest, I’ve never liked fancy desserts like crème brûlée or tiramisu.

As a proud citizen of the packaged-cake nation, I say nothing beats Entenmann’s. Occasionally, some Mallomars or Pepperidge Farm Mint Milanos reach my plate, but they don’t compare to the Marshmallow Iced Devil’s Food cake that Entenmann’s makes.

And considering that so many of Entenmann’s offerings involve the word butter—All Butter Loaf, All Butter French Crumb Cake, All Butter Marble Loaf—I thought Mike Myers’ Coffee Tawk Lady on Saturday Night Live created her highest compliment, “Like Buttah!” as an homage to her coffee-and-Entenmann’s past.

Let’s face it, based in Long Island, Entenmann’s is a New York Jewish art form.
