NEW YORK Two campaigns tied for the Grand Effie at the New York American Marketing Association’s 2003 Effie Awards 35th anniversary gala on Wednesday night.

TBWA\Chiat\Day’s “Austin” campaign for Embassy Suites Hotels, which shows the hotel from the point of view of a young boy named Austin, tied with the American Legacy “Truth” campaign, created by Arnold in Boston and Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami.

TBWA\C\D took home six gold Effies, the most of any shop, including the Sustained Success Effie, given to an agency that produces successful marketing for five or more years.
