Entertainment ad shops and studios will soon have yet another medium for their motion picture advertising.
Screenzone Media Networks, South Orange, N.J., has created Screenzones, high-tech shopping mall entertainment and media placement centers that are scheduled to launch in Southern California late this summer.
The centers contain two eight-by-four-foot video display screens (one is shown here) that will continuously show movie trailers. The centers also house six individual interactive stations that allow users to buy movie tickets, view other previews, browse showtimes, access entertainment Web sites and enter Screenzone contests–all free of charge.
