LONDON — AtomShockwave Corp., the company formed following the January merger of AtomFilms and Shockwave.com, is shutting down its European headquarters in London, the company said Monday.

The shutdown signals the loss of 16 jobs and a temporary suspension of content acquisitions for the Web sites across Europe and the rest of the world. The office officially closes Friday. The company will continue to operate offices in Japan and its headquarters in San Francisco, according to a representative.
