ATLANTA Atlanta Bread Co. has begun interviewing advertising agencies to replace Eighth & Means, which resigned the account earlier this month, the company said.
The Atlanta-based restaurant franchiser will follow the interviews with a formal request for proposal, said Kim Jensen-Pitts, vice president of marketing for the company.
"We are already in the process of looking for a replacement," Jensen-Pitts said.
The client wants an agency in the Southeast with a strong creative department and the ability to provide a range of services, including media buying, she said.
ABC's public relations account is not part of the review, Jensen-Pitts said. The company will keep its PR account at Edelman in Atlanta, she added.
The value of the advertising account was not disclosed, but spending will exceed $1 million in the next year, she said.
ABC operates more than 160 restaurants in 24 states.
