ATLANTA C. Anthony “Tony” Wainwright, vice chairman of Havas’ Arnold, died Oct. 3 in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was 70.

Wainwright began his ad career in the mailroom of Chicago-based Leo Burnett. In 1969, he founded Wainwright, Spaeth & Wright in Chicago. The shop was responsible for launching Oil of Olay, Stove Top Stuffing and Country Time Lemonade.

He joined Boston-based Arnold in 2002 after a six-year stint at Havas’ McKinney + Silver in Raleigh, N.C.,
