West Herford spent the early years of his advertising career in Paris. But don’t try to serve the North Carolina native a fancy armagnac.

The 34-year-old exec, recently named global account director for Jack Daniel’s at Havas’ Arnold in St. Louis, said the Tennessee whiskey was his libation of choice even in France. “It was the only American spirit you could consistently find,” he recalled.

Herford, formerly an account director at BMP DDB in London, assumes the post from Bill Miller, who left in January following Steve Swanson’s arrival as managing partner and CMO at Arnold St.
