Citing a lack of technology growth opportunities and new-business prospects, Arnold will soon close its operations in San Francisco.

Given the situation, it makes more sense for Arnold to concentrate on its “strong, profitable” domestic offices in Boston, New York, McLean, Va., and St. Louis, said agency president Fran Kelly.

Office president Jim McGinn and creative director Stu Cooperrider—who moved to San Francisco this year in an effort to turn around the long-troubled office—will soon return to the Havas-owned agency’s Boston headquarters.
