NEW YORK Arnold pays homage to advertising with a spot for Trivial Pursuit’s DVD Pop Culture Edition 2 that opens with a clip from Fallon’s Citibank identity-theft campaign and closes with a snippet from a TrimSpa commercial.

“We just loved the idea of how the spot worked,” said John Staffen, executive creative director of Arnold in New York, of the Citibank ad. “It’s about theft identity and we thefted it.”

The ad, which broke this week on spot cable buys, shows the game’s pie pieces wandering into footage from ads, movies, sports events and news interviews.
