Stone & Ward has retained the advertising account of the Arkansas Department of Economic Development.

The Little Rock, Ark., agency has held the business for six years. Annual billings are $1 million.

The incumbent defended against Sells/Clark and Heathcott Associates, both in Little Rock, in a review that began in February.

Client representative Andy May-berry said the department was not obligated to conduct a review, but added that it was important to have regular self-evaluations to “ensure that we are bringing the best value to the taxpayers and workforce of the state.”

The three finalists made presentations last month to a five-member leadership team.
