NEW YORK AOL said it would begin broadcasting video of live concerts on its new portal, as the Internet company looks to capitalize on its well-received Live8 concert coverage.

AOL has teamed with DXM Satellite Radio and concert company AEG to create Network Live, a jointly owned digital entertainment firm. Concerts will be carried on AOL.com and dedicated channels for XM Satellite’s 4.4 million subscribers. Network Live CEO Kevin Wall said the company would look for licensees both abroad and in new digital content outlets, including video on demand, wireless and high-definition television.
