LOS ANGELES As NBC's hit comedy series Friends winds to a close, the network has teamed with Warner Bros. Television and America Online to create a promotion allowing fans to choose six Friends episodes to air during NBC's "Must See TV," starting in March.

Starting today, AOL and AOL for Broadband members can go to AOL Television to view footage from 40 of the show's best episodes, as determined by Friends producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane. Participants can cast votes for their favorite six episodes through Feb. 1 via AOL keyword: Friends or on the Internet at www.aim.com. Beginning March 4, NBC will air one of the six episodes that received the most votes. The episodes will run each Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, with the most popular airing on April 8.

"Through this unprecedented program, we are able to leverage the reach of AOL and AOL Instant Messenger to allow Friends fans to determine which of the most popular episodes will air on NBC this March," said Patricia Karpas, vice president and general manager of AOL Television in Dulles, Va., in a statement.
