NEW YORK America Online has promoted Bill Wilson, vp and general manger of the company’s music division, to svp and gm of AOL Entertainment.

He succeeds Kevin Conroy, who was named evp and chief operating officer of AOL’s broadband service last month [IQ Daily Briefing, May 14]. Evan Harrison, formerly executive director of AOL Music, will fill Wilson’s post.

Reporting to Jim Bankoff, evp of AOL Brand Operations, Wilson will lead the company’s efforts in games, movies, music, radio, sports, television and ticketing.
