NEW YORK America Online dismissed Gotham on Friday and plans to launch a review of the $150-200 million account, sources said.

The New York shop had handled creative duties on AOL since 1997. It appears, however, that the incumbent will not be invited to defend. Gotham CEO Stone Roberts could not be reached.

The move came just days after the arrival of AOL’s new evp of brand marketing, Len Short. Short previoiusly was evp, advertising and brand management at Charles Schwab & Co.
