WASHINGTON, D.C. The Club for Growth, a group of economic conservatives, has launched an anti-John Kerry spot that contrasts the policies of George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan with statements made by the Democratic presidential contender.

The effort suggests that if elected, Kerry would be softer on Communism and terrorism than the two presidents.

The spot opens with Kerry’s 1971 Congressional testimony, in which he said, “We cannot fight Communism all over the world, and I think we should have learned that lesson by now.”
