BOSTON -- Analog Devices is considering four agencies for its creative assignment, sources said.
Contenders are incumbent Stringer of Burlington, Mass., Allen & Gerritsen, Newton, Mass.; Partners & Simons, Boston; and Via, Portland Maine, sources said. The four shops, all independents, emerged from a field of more than a dozen agencies initially contacted by the client, sources said. Media chores with Upward Brown Media, Burlington, Mass., are not in play at this time.
The four finalists will make presentations next month; a decision is expected before year's end.
Once source pegged Analog Devices' 2003 spending in the $10-million range, a sizeable increase over current levels for the maker of integrated circuits. That increase and the desire to take an image-based approach to marketing is driving the review, sources said.
The agencies declined comment or referred calls to the Norwood, Mass.-based client, which has not returned calls.
