NEW YORK Kate Winslet is the latest screen star to appear in the "My life, my card" ad campaign for American Express. She is featured in a 30-second spot that breaks tonight during the series finale of CBS' Everybody Loves Raymond, the client said.

In the commercial, Winslet (best known for her role in Titanic) is shown meandering through London's Camden Market, where outdoor vendors sell everything from books and toys to fresh fruit. Each item reminds Winslet of the various characters she's played in her stage and screen career.

Print ads in the campaign, which launched in November 2004, were shot by Annie Liebovitz. (Magazine ads with Winslet will break in the summer.)

In a statement, Winslet said, "When approached by American Express to participate in the campaign, I was open to the opportunity because I have always had a great experience as a cardmember. Furthermore, I have enjoyed their engaging campaigns over the years and I'm pleased to now be a part of it."

The effort, which has also featured Robert De Niro and Ellen DeGeneres, was created by WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather in New York.

The client spent $385 million in U.S. media in 2004, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
